Lawasian Mohamad Lokman Mustaffa

KUCHING: Golfer Mohamad Lokman Mustaffa was in his element as he returned a two-day gross score of 155 to win the Men’s Open title of the KGS Club Championship at the Sarawak Golf Club over the last weekend.

Two strokes further in second place was Waili Abang who beat junior golfer Abdul Rahim Abang Abdul Rahman into third place On-Count-Back (OCB) after both golfers returned with similar scores.

Fourth was Dr Tan Lean Sin with a 159 and a stroke further in fifth place was Kho Hua Sin while Jacque Chian finished sixth with a 161.

The nett title went to Mohd Amin Adenan who returned a score of 139, followed by Terence Chai (143) and David Philip Jerol (144) in second and third spots respectively.

Meanwhile, Mohd Ashari Abdul Rahim won the senior title with a commendable total gross of 161.

Hoan Kee Hock finished second with his score of 164 while Richard Chai was third on 168 and Danny Wee came in fourth place with a 171.

In the nett category, Hat @ Bong Hata was the champion with his score of 143 and Victor Fong finished second with a 149.

About 80 golfers participated in the KGS in-house championship held on Nov 3-4.
