PBB Ba'Kelalan kehilangan Setiausaha parti

LAWAS: PBB Ba Kelalan executive secretary Sohor Diris’, 52, untimely death at Lawas hospital last weekend following a heart attack saddened Lawas member of parliament Datuk Henry Sum Agong.

His passing was described as a big loss to PBB Ba Kelalan.

Henry, who is the branch chairman, said he was shocked to learn of the news upon his return from a China trip with the Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s entourage.

Sohor passed away after complaining of chest pain and fatigue last Saturday.

“It is a big loss personally to me, as the deceased was a diligent party worker who never complained in whatever tasks given to him,” he said after visiting his family in Kampung Pangi and Luagan in Sundar.

“We were totally shocked and he never told me of his illness, but we will make sure that the education of his children and welfare of his family are taken care of as they have never complained about how busy he was for the party,” he said. Sohor’s untimely death shocked all those who knew him, and he would be remembered for his amicable character and friendly interaction with others.

He is described as a quiet man, committed to his role as a party member and is respectful of the leaders in Lawas, including Second Minister of Planning and Resource Management Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, Henry and the BN candidate for Ba Kelalan Willie Lau who is SPDP Youth exco member.

Among his last words to his friends were to ensure that both elected representatives to be well taken care of and the need to continue efforts to ensure that Willie will succeed in becoming Ba Kelalan state assemblyman despite failing narrowly in his first attempt in the last state election.

Henry said efforts would be made to ensure that the house which is nearing completion built by the deceased would be completed for the sake of the family.
