Pehin Sri Taib bernikah dengan gadis Labenon

KUCHING, Dec 18 (Bernama) — Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud is believed to have married a woman in her 30s from Lebanon.

A news report stated that he would hold a wedding reception after undergoing a closed-door nuptial ceremony to be officiated by Sarawak mufti Kipli Yassin, here today.

“We have to wait. Let the chief minister make an official announcement,” said Taib’s press secretary, Amin Sahmat when contacted by Bernama.

Speculation on his marital status has been rife ever since his Polish-born wife Puan Sri Laila Taib died of cancer in April last year after 50 years of marriage. They have four children and 15 grandchildren. — BERNAMA
