Tengah to grace dinner for single mothers
MIRI: Minister of Resource Planning II and Minister of Public Utilities, Datuk Amar Haji Awang Tengah bin Ali Hasan is expected to grace the forthcoming Telang Usan Jiwa Murni 1Malaysia Dinner here.
The dinner will now take place on 21 March instead of 19 March because of unforeseen circumstances.
It is organised by Parti Pesaka Bersatu (PBB) Telang Usan Women Section and supported by NADI Telang Usan, PBB Telang Usan and PBB Telang Usan Youth Section.
Organising Chairwoman and Chairwoman of PBB Telang Usan Women Section, Elizabeth Deng said the dinner was for single mothers from Telang Usan.
“We want them to know that we care for them,” she told the New Sarawak Tribune here yesterday.
She said PBB Telang Usan Women Section had been very active in helping and supporting the underprivileged and single mothers in the constituency all these years.
She praised Telang Usan State Assemblyman, Lihan Jok and the Welfare Department for bringing government aid to the needy, even in the remotest part of Telang Usan.
Meanwhile, all the tickets for the dinner have been sold.
More than 800 guests especially from the Telang Usan constituency are expected at the function.
