PBB Youth gives aid
LAWAS: PBB Youth Central handed over financial assistance to a critically ill patient and the family of a landslide victim in Lawas last weekend as part of its community service project.
PBB youth chief Datuk Fadillah Yusof, who is also Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, has identified both as recipients of the welfare assistance programme dubbed ‘Jiwa Murni’.
The assistance was handed over by Second Minister of Planning and Resource Management Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hassan to the renal failure patient and the family of the landslide victim at their respective homes in Kampung Punang and Kampung Belipat.
PBB Bukit Sari youth chief, councillor Simie Nasib, said RM3,000 was donated to the patient.
Meanwhile, Awang Tengah called for action to be taken to stabilise the slope to prevent landslide from recurring and hitting the house.
