Piala Asean Football Federation (AFF) dinamakan Suzuki AFF kerana ditaja oleh korporat Suzuki

Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has declared Friday, Dec. 31 a public holiday, in recognition of the recent victory of the Malaysian soccer team in the 2010 Asean Football Federation Cup.

“The young team has made us proud, and we must build this success to propel Malaysian football to greater heights,” he said Thursday, as quoted by Malaysia’s national news agency, Bernama.

Indonesia defeated Malaysia 2-1 in the second leg of the final match at Bung Karno stadium in Jakarta on Wednesday, but it was Malaysia that lifted the AFF trophy thanks to its 3-0 win in the first leg.
